3. Looking and listening project

Find a space in the library eg. window, aisle, desk, sofa, dvd rack - Spend five minutes listening. Write down noises, voices, snippets, misheard conversations.

Sat in the sofa area.

Zippers - something falls - beep of library books - laughter - tune of book machine - a fan - printer printing - coughing - mouse clicking - machines humming - people shuffling/stamping/walking - doors shutting - money jingling - books (pages being flicked) - conversations - phones going off - jeans (denim moving) - keys jingling - lift in corridor - my own breathing.

People’s conversations: FOUND IT! - I’ve been invited to that party - You got a cough there, mate? - WOOHOO - You found anything interesting? - It’s a waste of time - There’s no actual address
